Carer Support Team

Can you offer a cup of tea and a listening ear? 

 

We are looking for more volunteers to join our existing Carer Support Team, visiting patients in their own homes and giving their carers a break at the same time. Our current volunteers do a wonderful job but we are unable to provide support to all the Carers who currently need this service, so we need to expand!

 

 

 

 

 

What are we looking for?

• Good communcation skills. Do you like chatting to people? Are you able to allow them to share their worries with you?
• Willingness to undertake training. There are 8 days of training for this role, plus ongoing training, supervision and support.
• Ability to make a regular commitment - 2 to 3 hours once a week or fortnight if possible. You'll become an important part of someone's week.
