Join in the Hospice's
Abseil Challenge taking place on Sunday 26 Sept 2010, hosted by DSG International, at their head office in Maylands Avenue, Hemel Hempstead.
This Abseil Challenge offers all you daredevils a fantastic opportunity to raise vital funds for the Hospice whilst also taking part in an adrenalin pumping, fun and breathtaking activity: abseiling 100ft! You don't need to be particularly fit or have any experience - anyone can do it, provided you are over 12 years of age and a bit daring!
Raising sponsorship is the easy bit - it's the abseiling down the building that is the real challenge! All you need to do is find 10 people to sponsor you £10 each and you've reached the £100 minimum sponsorship level before you know it. Under 18's need to raise just £50.
It costs just £25 for adults and £20 for under 18's to register for this event. This covers administration and event costs.
The Hospice cares for over 700 patients a year and more than 1,000 relatives and friends. All our care is given free and we rely on voluntary donations for over 80% of the £3.3million we need annually to continue our care. The £100 that you raise will pay for one nurse's 7.5 hour shift on our In Patient Unit, or will pay for 2 counselling sessions for a child who is coping with the loss of a loved one.
