Our Physiotherapy team is trained to improve your comfort and independence, to ensure that you can make the most of whatever time lies ahead.
Our physiotherapists attend to all patients within the Hospice including the Inpatient Unit, Day Hospice and Outpatient clinics. The team also works alongside the Hospice Specialist Nursing Team visiting patients in the community.
The team focuses on helping patients to move safely and manage stairs. They have particular expertise in managing pain and stiffness, and helping with problems such as breathlessness, loss of balance and tiredness.
The physiotherapists may also provide family members with guidance on how to help you move, for instance, how to help you get out of bed if this has become difficult.
