Mother and daughter Sue and Rebecca Judd raised over £1600 to support the Hospice of St Francis by getting sponsored to Walk the West Highland way,  a scenic and rugged 96 mile route that the intrepid ladies covered in 8 days.

Rebecca admitted that the walk was tougher than they had expected but they were spurred on in the knowledge that every step took them nearer their goal of raising money for the Hospice.

Husband and father Martin Judd has been cared for by the Hospice for 5 years, receiving visits from a member of the specialist Home Care nursing team and attending the Day Hospice.

As part of Carers Week 2010 Rebecca and Sue will be attending our Careers afternoon on Friday 18th June for some well earned treats and a bit of pampering to support them in the caring work they carry out at home.

Well done done ladies, you make a great team!
